Our Commitment to Community

In our more than 70-year history of service, the JLGO has contributed more than $1 million and more than one million hours of service to the Orlando community. Our efforts have helped children, the elderly, and families in the areas of health issues, education, art and cultural endeavors, and the environment.

Over the years, the League has supported and started many successful programs such as:

• The Crisis Nursery for children with medical and support needs
• The Discovery Room at the Orlando Science Center
• The Family Support & Visitation Center
• The 4C Toy Library
• The Orlando Opera Guild
• The ADDitions parent volunteer program in Orange County Public Schools
• MAGIC (Mentoring Adolescent Girls to Inspire Change) – formerly GAP (Girls Advocacy Program)
• HIP Kids (Healthy, Informed, Playful Kids)
